Green Sauce

The cilantro lime sauce brings out the flavors of the shrimp. Shrimp is naturally sweet, the sauce has a citrusy element due to the lime juice. The flavors end up balancing out

Coleslaw

Coleslaw doesn’t belong in the trash! I actually hate coleslaw but was able to tolerate this because of how well it pairs with everything in these tacos. Buy a little bag of coleslaw!

Queso Fresco

Queso Fresco means fresh cheese. It’s similar to feta cheese but it’s not as salty and crumbles better than feta. 

Oil

For this recipe you’ll need two different kinds of oil. Olive oil to cook your shrimp in and Avocado oil to warm your tortilla in. This is because avocado oil has a higher smoke point allowing for tortillas to turn into a nice golden color when cooking. If you use olive oil the tortilla will turn out soggy.

Shrimp

The preferred protein for this dish is shrimp, but this can easily be swapped with your protein of choice. Beef, chicken, fish, will all pair nicely.
